A Beanie with Personality: The Story Behind Our Limited-Edition Collection

I’m excited to present my new limited edition beanie collection, a celebration of individuality and careful craftsmanship. Every beanie is handcrafted from repurposed yarn, so each piece is truly unique. This collection embodies warmth, colour, and character, and is designed to help you express your personality.
The Meaning in the Making
Each beanie in this collection is handcrafted from leftover yarn in our studio, originally used for other samples and past projects. By reusing these fibers, we stay true to our no-waste philosophy and get to try out color combinations we might not use in our main collections.
Because we used scrap yarn, we could only make a small number of beanies. That’s why some don’t have matching fingerless gloves- we used up every bit of yarn. The collection’s rarity gives each piece meaning, celebrating creativity, resourcefulness, and purpose. Every beanie is individually numbered from 1 to 10, making this collection truly exclusive.
Colour as Character
I’ve always been fascinated by colour theory and how colour combinations have a profound effect on our emotions. With more freedom to select colours, I had a lot of fun going beyond aesthetics and exploring how colours feel. As each beanie came together, I began to personify them, imagining the kind of person who might wear it, the energy it brings, and the story it tells. This process ties meaning not just to the look but to the spirit each beanie represents, making the creative journey more personal and intentional.
I will now introduce you to every beanie in this series and my ideas behind them:
#1 Rose Dawn Beanie
#1 reminds me of my first love for the red and pink colour combo as a child. Pink was my favourite colour, with red following suit. I remember creating a stunner of an outfit that was monochrome pink. Every item I wore was pink- icon behaviour!
#2 Radiant Blaze Beanie
#2 honours confidence and energy, made for those who embrace life and turn ordinary moments into the extraordinary. The colors match #1, but I think there is more of a boldness that emerges with red as the main shade.
#3 Harbour Mist
#3 is someone who is always there for you: calm, reliable, and deeply empathetic. The soft greys and teals mirror someone who brings comfort and understanding wherever they go. These colours make me feel at ease. When I imagine wearing this beanie, I see a bright shield around me.
#4 Tidal Dusk
#4 is the dreamer who turns everyday life into poetry. These colours remind me of some of Monet paintings, and I always imagine him in deep thought, stroking his beard and measuring the landscape with his paintbrush, seeing beauty in what others might just see as light and dark.
#5 Winter Light
#5 is a wise character who offers guidance that others instinctively trust. The lighter shades of cream and light blue reflect a sensible, dependable personality, a unique quality we all need in our lives.
#6 Magical Spark
#6 is inspired by someone in my life who looks to the stars for connection and meaning. They are open about their complex story and are unafraid to share their experiences with others.
#7 Joyful Visionary
#7 is inspired by someone who is possibly the most cheerful person I know, who always shows appreciation and grace to others, not to mention their wonderful sense of style!
#8 Festive Love
This is so me. I love dressing up for Christmas, but in an understated way that says “oops, I didn't mean to wear this blouse that subtly resembles a Brussel sprout...” and pull it out every year again.
#9 Frosted Pine
This beanie is unique with its three colours. I actually ran out of both blue shades while knitting it, so it’s truly the last of its kind. Because of that, I imagined this beanie belonging to someone who’s equally one-of-a-kind, someone who enjoys the finer things in life and never lets others influence their individuality. They hold themselves to a high standard of enjoyment and know exactly what they like.
#10 Forest Ember
#10 is the last beanie in our collection, which I based on my Dad. He has a deep understanding of people’s feelings and is a quiet force who supports without expectation of praise. He goes out of his way to help simply because he wants to, not out of obligation, but from a place of genuine care.
